Consensual Sadistic Sex Practices are Comparable to Meditation Experiences

Sadomasochism is defined as sexual behavior that involves getting pleasure from causing or feeling pain. Previously thought to be a pathological practice, current research has found no evidence of harmful effects as a result of sadomasochism.

Scientists have found sadomasochism may actually lead to a meditative experience and that such practices are not entirely about sex. Two studies, one conducted by James Ambler of Northern Illinois University and the other by Brad Sagarin of Northern Illinois University, have found that these painful, sexual practices actually contribute to an altered state of consciousness.

#Dommes, The irony...... Negative punishment and its effects by UNICEF

I was flicking through the internet when I came across a serious document by UNICEF on punishment titled POSITIVE DISCIPLINE - Negative punishment and its effects.
( BELOW IS THE FULL ARTICLE )

I absolutely understood why it was produced and how important it is for our children to experience a positive environment, positive reinforcement and positive discipline in schools and from their parents.

On the other hand, as I read through the examples of negative punishment I couldn't help smiling at the thought of My submissives.

How wonderful that We as Dommes can and do sometimes use Negative punishment. Here is some examples:

Forced acts that are physically painful or damaging (holding a weight for a long time, kneeling on stones, standing or sitting in a contorted position). CHECK!!

Confinement, being tied up or being forced to remain in one place for an extended period of time. CHECK!!

Verbal assaults, humiliation, ridicule and assaults on dignity, intended to reduce a child’s confidence, self esteem or dignity.

It is worth reading the full article with the submissive in mind....

The Answer isn't Classified

I like to muse on life's little quirks and one thing which always amazes me is how our species play the dating game. To that end I sometimes browse the classifieds groups on Fetlife - there are so many to choose from - purely out of a vague sense of curiosity you understand, and I’ve noticed something which I believe requires further research. But I’m too lazy to do any proper research such as would stand up to peer review, so I’ve flicked across a few pages and clicked here and there then gone to get a beer (and that’s the basis of male research in a nutshell). Here’s what I’ve made up… er, I mean discovered through diligent and painstaking work:

A female posts an advert looking for a man, woman, dog, cat, new fridge, whatever – hundreds of comments and I’d expect PMs running into the thousands.

A man posts an advert looking for anything he can get... tumbleweed… no, wait, one or two get a reply! Oh, it’s only a bump by the OP or a “good luck with that” comment by another male adrift on a sea of desperation.

A week later:

Mistress, Her nurse and the colour pink

Submitted by: MAX

Sitting in my office, I wondered what my Mistress was planning for our next session. It has been months since our last session. How angry would she be, would she punish me…of course she would be angry and punish me. I quivered with anticipation.

My home life prevented me from completing my journey. My wife refused to allow me to shave; she chided my attempts at cross-dressing as role-play. It was nearly impossible to follow my training and practice my lessons. I was not following the plans Mistress had for me to become a sissy, a mincing little sissy.

Every time we met, she would dress me in pink, red or black lingerie; complete from head to toe, including a wig and make-up. I never felt freer than in her presence as her Sissy Maxine. She trained me in bondage and punishment, dildo and butt plugs; and giving oral and anal service. I began to find myself mincing about the house and began wearing lingerie under my suits. My latest training was in the art of rubber and latex…

Mistress demanded I begin to shave and dress during the day and wear my butt plug and heels. Unfortunately, I could not comply. Mistress was vexed and said she was working on a plan to totally transform me into her slave, but she gave me no details.

I was leaving the office one day, when my wife called and started yelling, “How dare you write me a letter telling me you’re leaving me and you never want to see me again.” Just as I started to respond, a van pulled up and some men jumped out and put a hood over my head and threw me in the van and bound my wrists and ankles. As I shouted for help, they gagged me and then came the smell of chloroform…

It's Time to End the Long History of Feminism Failing Transgender Women

transphobia is no longer acceptable in the name of feminism
In August, a doctor in Toronto received an unexpected email.

It was from a stranger in Maryland, telling the doctor that one of the transgender patients whose care he was overseeing “regularly attacks women on social media who have a lesbian feminist polititical [sic] opinion. That is, he harasses us and establishes fake Twitter accounts to harass us… Query whether this is the kind of experience one must have to ‘live as a woman.’ - you bully other women?”

Spank You Very Much! Is S&M dangerous? Let’s look at the evidence.

REBLOGGED FROM THE SLATE By William Saletan

Earlier this year, I wrote two articles about BDSM—bondage, dominance/submission, and sadomasochism. I argued that BDSM, unlike homosexuality, was inherently problematic and wasn’t an orientation. Defenders of BDSM—Dan Savage, Jessica Wakeman, Clarisse Thorn, Jillian Keenan, and dozens of Slate commenters—wrote back, rejecting these arguments. Then, two months ago, Dutch psychologists published a study of kinksters and mental health. I started digging around. There isn’t much quantitative research on this population, but I found a few decent studies that can help us clarify this debate. Is BDSM sick? Let’s look at the evidence.
